1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using TasteScore, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

TasteScore provides guest feedback capture, public review monitoring, recovery case management, and service intelligence tools for restaurants. Features available to you depend on your plan.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be 18 or over to create an account. Each restaurant or restaurant group should maintain one account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use TasteScore to harass, deceive, or harm others. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the platform, circumvent plan limits, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Guest data and GDPR responsibility

When you collect guest feedback through TasteScore:

  • You (the restaurant) are the data controller under UK GDPR. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for collecting guest feedback and for how you use guest data, including any contact details
  • TasteScore is the data processor, processing guest data on your behalf and in accordance with your instructions

You must ensure your use of guest feedback and contact information complies with applicable privacy laws, including UK GDPR. If you collect guest contact details, you should display or link to your own privacy notice explaining how that data will be used.

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request by contacting hello@tastescore.co.uk.

6. Data processing obligations

As your data processor, TasteScore commits to the following:

  • We will only process guest data in accordance with your documented instructions and for the purpose of providing the TasteScore service
  • We will notify you of any personal data breach without undue delay and in any event within 72 hours of becoming aware of it
  • We will delete all guest data within 90 days of your account deletion, unless retention is required by law
  • We will assist you in responding to data subject access requests from guests, including requests to access, correct, or delete their data
  • We will not engage additional sub-processors without providing you with prior notice and the opportunity to object

7. Billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. All paid plans include a 30-day free trial. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings with no cancellation fees. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where payments have failed after reasonable notice has been given.

8. Intellectual property

TasteScore and all associated content, branding, and software are owned by TasteScore. Your restaurant data and guest feedback remain your property at all times.

9. Limitation of liability

TasteScore is provided on an as-is basis. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you is limited to the total amount you have paid to TasteScore in the three months prior to the claim.

10. Changes to the service

We may update features, pricing, or these terms from time to time. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
